Two Day Documentary Seminar with Leanne Pooley announced

Award winning documentary filmmaker Leanne Pooley will run a two day seminar on making documentaries for the New Zealand and international marketplaces. The focus of this seminar will be the practical realities of documentary directing, and is designed for anyone wishing to pursue a career in documentary filmmaking.

Leanne Pooley is one of New Zealand’s most accomplished documentary filmmakers. She has directed documentaries for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, as well as PBS and Discovery in America. Pooley’s documentaries have screened in more than 100 countries, and include topics ranging from Boy George to the Pope. Her latest documentary The Topp Twins: Untouchable Girls is being released theatrically in April.
Leanne has extensive teaching experience having taught documentary at the University of Auckland for three years. She has also made guest lecture appearances at BAFTA (London), The Royal Society of Television (London), The Norwegian Film School, Otago University, AUT and Unitec.
