Do you have the goods to be in the TV One “Freshly Squeezed Talent Quest”

TV ONE’s Countdown To The New Year announces the Freshly Squeezed Talent Quest – applications open 2 November.

This New Year’s Eve, TV ONE will be celebrating the end of year with glitz, glamour and a show-stopping spread of entertainment finishing with a spectacular fireworks display from the top of the Sky City Tower at midnight.

Hosted by TV favourite Jason Gunn and newcomer, Matt Gibb, the show will be broadcast from the Sky City Theatre and the best of New Zealand’s performers will entertain viewers with their favourite hit songs.

Central to the show is the Freshly Squeezed Talent Quest, a nationwide search to find fresh new Kiwi singers to perform for the first time on a national stage. There are three categories people can enter under; Male Vocal, Female Vocal, and Vocal Group and it’s up to viewer’s votes to decide which three will win, as they compete for a cash prize and the opportunity to sing at Sky City Casino venues for a month.

The talent quest opens midday 2 November as would-be music stars are invited to submit their audio or video application at before the deadline of 5pm on 12 November. Successful candidates will be invited to auditions across the county between 17 – 23 November. 10 finalists will be then invited to perform on the show and face the public’s vote

Applications can also be posted or couriered to: TVNZ Freshly Squeezed Talent 100 Victoria Street West Auckland City Auckland 1010 Please note: all audition applications need to be received by the production office no later than 5pm Friday 12 November 2010

Applications are open to all people 16 years or over.

Auditions will be held in the following locations and applicants need to be available on the appropriate dates as follows:

Wellington Tuesday 30 November 2010
Christchurch Wednesday 1 December 2010
Invercargill Thursday 2 December 2010
Dunedin Friday 3 December 2010
Auckland Monday 6 December 2010
Hamilton Tuesday 7 December 2010

Finalists are required to be available in Auckland from 12-17 December 2010 and 31 December 2010.
